JOB SUMMARY
The Partnership officer will support the establishment and maintenance
of relationships with all external stakeholders, with a primary focus
on employment.
JOB PURPOSE
The Partnership Officer will work with identified partners, Department
of Social Protection and other relevant departments who we anticipate
will become partners on this project. The partnership Officer will
support the ongoing development of employment initiatives. She/he will
develop and maintain relationships with a range of local stakeholders,
including Traveller and Roma groups and individuals, employers,
employment support providers, voluntary and community sector
organisations, Local Authorities, and other local delivery agencies.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide effective project support to ensure placement of
participants in employment, training or education
* Meet Young people on a weekly basis to get to know them as
individuals
* Create a database of potential partners
* Work with Employer groups and project partners to scope and
commission co-design and evaluation of activities
* Take responsibility for day-to-day liaison with partners to ensure
services are delivered on time, are good quality.
* Promote mutual understanding and identify potential
opportunities/roles for the project partners in the delivery of joint
priorities and specific activities
* Keep up to date with new and emerging local and regional
priorities which might offer new collaboration opportunities
* Work closely with the delivery and evaluation of the project to
identify and document learning from the project to be shared locally,
regionally and nationally
* Support the continual improvement and development of this pilot by
ensuring any learning is integrated to continually inform the projects
future, direction / scope and delivery
* Act in line with Involves policies, principles and values
* Report in writing on a weekly basis to manager of project
* Promote and support open and effective collaboration across the
board
* Carry out all duties in a professional manner
* Undertake any other roles or responsibilities that may be required
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Good understanding of local government and public / voluntary
sector contexts and policy environments
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
* Experience of the employment support services and skills sectors
and employment and skills programmes
* Knowledge of NTRIS and Employment strategy
* Strategic thinking and ability to spot and assess new
opportunities for collaboration and impact
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
* Good IT skills
* Track record of leading the development of effective partnerships
and collaborations across a wide range of organisations, groups and
sectors
* Experience of promoting change at a local level
* Experience of working independently within a partnership or
management structure
